Terms of use

Last updated May 25, 2026

By using RawReply you agree to the things below. They're short because the product is small.

What RawReply is

A chat product that runs your prompts through a large language model and streams back replies. The model is Claude, made by Anthropic, with AWS Bedrock as a backup when Claude is unavailable. The responses are generated by a machine.

The AI is sometimes wrong

Large language models invent things. They mix up dates, get citations wrong, and confidently state things that aren't true. RawReply tries to be useful, but you're responsible for reading what it gives you before you send it anywhere that matters. Don't use it for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions without checking with a real professional. Don't paste its output into a court filing without reading it first.

What you can't use it for

  • Generating content that's illegal where you live.
  • Generating sexual content involving minors. There's no gray area here — this is an immediate ban and a report.
  • Harassing, doxxing, or impersonating specific real people in ways meant to cause harm.
  • Trying to break the product — scraping responses at industrial scale, automating sign-ups, probing for vulnerabilities (other than coordinated security disclosure to privacy@rawreply.com, which we welcome).
  • Reselling RawReply's output as your own paid AI service. You can use it for your own work, including commercial work — but if you're wrapping our wrapper and charging for it, you should be paying Anthropic directly.

Your content

You own what you type in. You also own the responses you get back, to the extent the law lets you own AI output (which varies by country — in the U.S., purely AI-generated content isn't copyrightable, but mixed human/AI work usually is). RawReply doesn't claim ownership of anything you send or receive.

We do keep a copy of your chats on our servers so you can come back to them. See the privacy page for what happens to them.

Shared chats

When you share a chat via the share button, the recipient sees a read-only snapshot. They can't see your other chats. If you delete the original chat, the share link stops working.

Accounts

One account per person. We may suspend an account if it's being used for any of the things listed under “What you can't use it for.” You can delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@rawreply.com.

No warranty

RawReply is provided as-is. We don't promise it'll be available, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose. We do our best, but the AI is a research preview behind a chat UI, and the chat UI itself is new code on a single server. Plan accordingly.

Pricing

RawReply is free to use right now. If that changes we'll email anyone with an account before charging anything. We're not going to wake you up one morning with a surprise invoice.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms in a way that materially changes what you agreed to, we'll send an email and post a note in the notes. Continuing to use the product after that counts as agreeing.
